MISSION STATEMENT: "Hunting for a Cure" is an organization formed to introduce children to the joys of hunting and the outdoors, and through volunteers and sponsors raise funds to contribute to the fight against childhood diseases. St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee receives ALL of the money raised through Hunting for a Cure.

As an added bonus HFAC hopes to instill the following values in young hunters:

1. A heart-felt desire to help in the fight against diseases that affect children.
2. To appreciate God's blessings of health, family, friends, and the pursuit of the wild turkey.

Hunting for a Cure Youth Turkey Hunt is a 501(c)3 charitable organization. 100% of the monies raised during the event goes directly to St. Jude Children's Hospital. All committee members, landowners, guides, and other volunteers give freely of their time and talents to make this event a success.

Hunting for a Cure Youth Turkey Hunt was started in 2005 by Mr. Barney Davison and his son Mike of Savannah, Tennessee. They combined their desire to raise money for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital with their love of turkey hunting. They invited some children to hunt on property near their home in Savannah and provided the children with a volunteer guide. They asked the children to bring a donation for St. Jude and raised about $2,000.00 that first year. The event has grown considerably but the Davisons still make sure that 100% of the funds go to St. Jude thanks to the generous help of local business, donors and community volunteers.
